Delete your Hour account

This page explains how to request deletion of your Hour account and the personal data we associate with it. Hour is the happy hour finder app published by get-hour.com on Google Play and the App Store.

Option 1: Delete in the app (recommended)

If you are signed in to Hour on your phone, you can delete your account immediately:

  1. Open the Hour app.
  2. Go to the Profile tab.
  3. Scroll down and tap Delete account.
  4. Confirm when prompted.

Your account and associated data are removed from our servers as soon as deletion completes. You will be signed out automatically.

Option 2: Request deletion by email

If you cannot access the app, email us from the address linked to your Hour account:

  1. Send an email to contact@get-hour.com with the subject line Delete my Hour account.
  2. Include the email address you used to sign in with Google or Apple so we can locate your account.

We will process verified requests within 30 days and confirm by email when deletion is complete.

Data that is deleted

When your account is deleted, we remove personal data tied to your account, including:

  • Account profile (name, email, and sign-in identifiers)
  • Saved favorites and deal votes
  • Onboarding preferences (e.g. favorite venue tags)
  • Authentication tokens stored on our systems for your account

Data that may be kept

  • Usage analytics: Event records that are not linked to your identity after deletion (for example, aggregated or de-identified app usage) may be retained to improve Hour and provide venue insights.
  • Analytics providers: Data processed by third-party analytics tools (such as PostHog) may be retained according to their policies until their retention periods expire.
  • Backups: Deleted data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before being overwritten.
  • Legal obligations: We may retain information where required by law.

Using Hour without an account

You can use parts of Hour without creating an account. Location data sent to show nearby venues is not tied to a user profile unless you sign in. You can revoke location permission anytime in your device settings.
